Mechanicsburg

Sandra "Sandy" Lee  Maguire, born on April 27, 1945, in Williamsport, PA, departed this life on November 7, 2025, in Carlisle, PA. Her journey through life was marked by a profound love for family and a passion for creativity that shone brightly in all her endeavors.

Sandy dedicated a significant part of her professional life to the Mechanicsburg School District at Northside Elementary, where she touched the hearts of countless students and colleagues before her retirement in 2003. She was cherished not only as a cafeteria-aide but as a warm-hearted individual who fostered a nurturing environment wherever she went. She was known as "SARGE" to many of her students.

In her younger years, Sandy found joy in baking and cooking, delighting those around her with her culinary creations. Her warm kitchen and her generous spirit were often the heart of the family gatherings. Beyond her culinary talents, Sandy enjoyed exploring her creative side through crafting, specifically in the art of Plastic Canvas. She lovingly crafted haunted houses, tissue boxes, and place mats, which added a personal touch to her home. Her interests also included a cherished collection of dolls and Hummel figurines, each telling its own story of love and nostalgia.

Sandy shared her life with her loving husband, Charles "Cam" Maguire. Together, they cultivated a home filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. She was also a proud mother to her son, Steve Maguire, and daughter, Connie Fore, nurturing them with her affection and guiding them with her wisdom. Sandy was particularly fond of spending time with her grandchildren, Joshua Cornwell and Kristen McCabe, creating bonds that will undoubtedly live on in their hearts.

Her beloved dog, Cinder, was a constant companion, providing comfort and joy during their shared moments. Sandy's vibrant personality was enriched by her love for family, her joyful spirit, and her unyielding devotion to those she cared for.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Kathryn Sechler as well as her brothers, Samuel, Martin, and Robert Sechler, who now welcome her with open arms. Their shared memories will forever be interwoven with hers, continuing a legacy of love and reminiscence.
