A True Giver -

Thelma A. (Dickman) Kohler, age 87, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.  Thelma was born on Saturday, February 24, 1934, in Toledo, OH to the late Orville Guy Dickman and Pearl Elizabeth (Tyler) Dickman.  Thelma was the widow of Marlin “Bink” Leroy Kohler, whom she married on April 10, 1954, and who died on October 12, 1995.  In addition to her parents and husband, Thelma is preceded in death by her brother, Verlin Dickman; and her sister, Darlene Clingan.

Thelma’s survivors include her two daughters: Vicki Ann Weary and her husband, Kirk, of Carlisle; Erica Lee Ocker and her husband, Kermit "Keith", of Mechanicsburg; her three grandchildren: Christopher Weary and his wife, Shannon; Kyle Weary and his partner, Jared Moody; Paige Ocker; her four great-grandchildren: Evie, Truett, Rowan and Silas; and her special former granddaughter-in-law, Gloria Weary.

Thelma graduated from Lemoyne High School as part of the class of 1952 and retired from Maryland Casualty Company in 1993.  Thelma thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren; family was everything to her.  She loved going on family beach trips, and in her spare time she relished getting lost in a good book.  Known to be the sweetest, kindest and most giving woman, Thelma was a great listener and very wise; she truly understood people.
