Mechanicsburg

Todd, Harris Bostic, 68, of Mechanicsburg, died on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Todd was born on Tuesday, October 29, 1957, in York to the late Nelson Leroy Bostic and Alice Anna (Harris) Bostic.

Todd's survivors include his four siblings: Ann Smith and her husband Stephen of Laurel, MD, Peter Bostic of Quakertown, Scott Bostic of Ivyland, and Tim Bostic and his partner Tony London of Norfolk, VA; his good friend: Earl of Mechanicsburg; and several nieces and nephews. Each of these cherished companions and family members carries forward the light of Todd's memory—a constellation of love, loyalty, and shared stories.

Todd's early years bore the imprint of travel and discovery, as his father's military service led the family to Australia. It was there that Todd graduated from high school, leaving his mark on yet another corner of the world and carrying with him a broadened perspective and lasting memories.

Todd’s passions were as wide-ranging as the experiences that shaped him. He found genuine wonder and escapism in the world of books, drawn especially to the mythic landscapes of J.R.R. Tolkien and the intricate realms of Game of Thrones. This love of story spoke to Todd’s profound imagination, and those who knew him often marveled at the depth of his knowledge and the warmth with which he shared it.

An avid bridge player, Todd approached the game with both sharp skill and camaraderie—qualities that earned him respect and lasting friendships among fellow enthusiasts. His competitive spirit thrived as captain of his local pool league, where fellowship and friendly challenge coalesced nightly. Sundays found him transfixed by the green fields of his beloved Philadelphia Eagles, following every play with the loyalty and exuberance of a true fan.

Todd’s gentle affection for animals, most especially cats, was ever-present, a further reflection of his empathetic nature. Wherever he made his home, there were always paw prints left upon his heart. His legacy rests in the ripple of laughter shared over a bridge hand, the spirited banter during football season, and the comforting purr of a happy cat. The fullness of his character is treasured dearly and will not fade.

Todd's family will be celebrating his life privately.
