Tona "Toni" Lynn McBrayer

April 20, 1967 — December 25, 2025

Carlisle

Tona “Toni” Lynn (Wilhelm) McBrayer, 58, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025, surrounded by the love that defined her life. Born on April 20, 1967, in Wiesbaden, Germany, Toni grew up with a deep appreciation for family, resilience, and service—values that guided her every step.

Toni was, at her core, a caregiver. She instinctively put others first, offering quiet strength, loyalty, and compassion without expecting anything in return. Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family. Toni’s world revolved around her children and grandchildren, and she delighted in every milestone, laugh, and moment they shared. If you knew Toni, you knew how fiercely she loved—and how proudly she spoke of her grandkids.

A proud Army Veteran, Toni served her country with honor, carrying that same sense of duty and commitment into every part of her life. Whether as a mother, grandmother, wife, sister, or friend, she showed up fully and faithfully for the people she loved.

Toni is survived by her husband of 33 years, John Edward McBrayer; her four children: Rebecca McBrayer and her boyfriend Robert Baldwin of Harrisburg, Jannee Christine Loar of Carlisle, Hannah Marie McBrayer of Carlisle, and John Richard Henry McBrayer of Carlisle; and her six beloved grandchildren: Kenna, Teagan, Kylie, Sophie, Mikey, and Zoey. She is also survived by her parents, Richard Val Wilhelm and Joanne (Rasin) Wilhelm of Normal, Illinois; her sister, Krista Wilhelm Spader, and her husband Tim of Bloomington, Illinois; and her nieces and nephew, Jeffrey, Emma, and Grace.

Toni will be remembered in the quiet ways that matter most—in the laughter of her grandchildren, the strength of her children, the beauty of a blooming rose, and the countless lives made better by her kindness. Her love lives on in every day that her family moves forward together.

Toni’s life will be honored privately by her family. She will be laid to rest at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Cremation and interment were private.
