Vann Peyton Motley Jr

Vann “Peyton” Peyton Motley Jr, age 76, currently of Mechanicsburg, PA and formerly of Richmond, VA and Maple Grove, MN, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. Peyton was born on Monday, August 15, 1949, in Richmond, VA to the late Vann Peyton Motley Sr and Carmen Stickley (Young) Motley.

Peyton’s survivors include his wife of 51 years, Betty Gayle (Kent) Motley; his three children: Trevor Motley and his wife Juliana of Mechanicsburg, PA, Robbyne Henry and her husband Francis of Manassas, VA, Megan Kanozik and her husband Anthony of Maple Grove, MN; and his seven grandchildren: Emma Motley, Mark Sayer, Luke Sayer, Ellie Sayer, Lauren Sayer, Peyton Kanozik, and Tyler Kanozik.

Peyton graduated from Huguenot High School and from University of Richmond with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He was employed by Reynolds before he retired from Ryerson after many accomplished years of service working as the Director of Inventory. Peyton was a great athlete when he competed in baseball and basketball in high school and college. He enjoyed sports throughout his life and was an avid golfer. In his free time Peyton loved spending his time with his family. He will be dearly missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
