Wendy Lyn (Wert) Landis

Wendy Lyn (Wert) Landis, age 53, of Lewisberry, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2024.  Wendy was born on Sunday, November 1, 1970, in Hershey to the late Charles Wert and Joan (Crawford) Osborne.  In addition to her parents, Wendy is preceded in death by her three siblings: Kim, Brenda, and Denny.   

Wendy’s survivors include her husband of 33 years, Chuck Thomas Landis; her three daughters: Erica Carolynn Landis and her husband, Eric Willard of Lewisberry, Tricia Caryn Howard and her husband, Bradley Howard, of York, Brenna Lyn Landis and her husband, Ty Updegraff, of York Haven; and her three grandchildren: Grayson Willard, Dakota Willard, and Kendall Howard.

Wendy enjoyed spending time with her husband Chuck of 33 years, her daughters, and her grandchildren. Her favorite things to do were watching her husband race his sprint car at the dirt track and supporting her daughters through their cheerleading careers. Wendy was a very strong woman and overcame a lot of obstacles throughout her lifetime. She created a childcare and preschool legacy through her talent of teaching and love for children. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.  

Wendy’s family will be remembering her life privately.   Interment will be at the family’s convenience.  Cremation was private.
