William J. Olsen, of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 30, 2026, following a five year battle with dementia.

Born on March 20, 1949, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Bill was the son of the late Thomas V. Olsen and Betty (Williams) Olsen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas L. Olsen; his sister, Teresa M. Olsen; and his beloved twin granddaughters, Rose M. Olsen and Mary T. Olsen.

Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Mary Jane (Andreoli) Olsen; his son, William C. Olsen, and daughter in law, Betania M. (McKee) Olsen; and his cherished granddaughters, Liliana L. Olsen and Alexandria J. Olsen. He is also survived by his brothers in law, Ario Andreoli and Rick Andreoli (Karen); his sisters in law, Rita Andreoli and Linda (Ernie) Fanella; and his nieces, Teresa Spittle and Kayla Andreoli, and his nephew, Tom Olsen.

Bill graduated from Trinity High School in 1968, then served in the Air Force before an honorable discharge and earned an associate degree from HACC. He went on to serve his community as a police officer in both Harrisburg and Camp Hill, dedicating his career to public service. He later became president of Professional Associates, Inc., and in 2011 retired from the Pennsylvania Office of Inspector General. Bill was a member of Good Shepherd Church. Throughout his life, Bill was also a member of a number of community and charitable organizations.

Above all, Bill will be remembered as a good man, a loving husband, and a devoted father. He lived his life with honor, integrity, loyalty, and love. Those who knew him remember his cheerful personality, his warmth, and his love to laugh. He embraced life fully, always willing to try new things and quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Bill had a special gift for bringing people together. He organized countless adventures for friends and family, creating memories that will be treasured. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, kayaking, watching movies, and listening to the music of his youth. An enthusiastic cook, Bill took great joy in sharing his love of food with others, happy to have his table full and surrounded by family and friends.

Bill’s life was defined by love, generosity, and joy, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.

Graveside service and burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
