William “Billy” Noel Cole
Family Was Everything -
William “Billy” Noel Cole, age 66, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 3, 2020. Billy was born on Friday, December 4, 1953 in Brooklyn, NY to the late William Earnest Cole and Eileen C. (McCracken) Donnan.
Billy’s survivors include his daughter, Nikolene Cole and her husband, Matthew Cordier, of Mechanicsburg; his granddaughter, Annika Lilliya Cordier; his sister, Dorothea Mary Cole; and his nephew, Addison Cole Elder.
Billy graduated from North Catholic High School as part of the class of 1971. He was a member of Unity of Harrisburg in Enola, where Billy volunteered with the refreshments in Fellowship Hall and completed a full Quest class. Being outside and going fishing were just some of the things he enjoyed. Billy was also a devoted sports fan and loved cheering on all of the Pittsburgh teams. Billy’s most recent hobby was playing Pokémon GO; he even reached the maximum level attainable – level 40. Billy has always been an animal lover, and volunteered with Furry Friends Network to care for foster cats and assist with community events. Family was of the utmost importance to him, especially when it came to his granddaughter. Annika had his whole heart and affectionately called him, “Popeye”. Billy will be remembered for how comfortable he was in all social situations and how he was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Billy’s family will announce services at a later date. Cremation was private.
