Ada May (Renoll) Brown

Ada May (Renoll) Brown, age 88, most recently of Carlisle, and formerly of York, Mesa, AZ and Port Richey, FL, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023.  Ada was born on Thursday, December 20, 1934, in York to the late George Renoll and Ada (Fishel) Renoll.  In addition to her parents, Ada is preceded in death by her four brothers: Furman Renoll, Edward Renoll, Luke Renoll, George Renoll, Jr.; and her three sisters: Violet Stauffer, Edna Rohrbaugh, Mamie Good.

Ada’s survivors include her son, Ted Brown and his wife, Debra, of Seven Valleys; her  two daughters: Gail Barrick and her husband, Dennis, of Mechanicsburg; Teresa “Teese” Jones and her husband, Brad, of Port Richey, FL; her five grandchildren: Travis Brown and his wife, Danielle; Alicia Zambrycki and her husband, Gregory; Drew Brown and his wife, Nicki; Ashley Barrick; Miranda Shultz and her husband, Mike; her six great-grandchildren: Zoey, Dominic, Levi, Brandon, Marlow, Owen; and many nieces and nephews.

Ada retired from Motorola after years of service working as a service technician.  She was a dog lover, liked shopping on QVC, playing Bingo and traveling.  She preferred to live where the weather was warm and was an avid gardener.  Ada enjoyed tending to her flowers and doing yardwork.  She will be deeply missed.

Ada’s family will be remembering her life privately.  Interment in Mount Rose Cemetery in York will be at the family’s convenience.  Cremation was private.

The family sends their most heartfelt thanks to Grane Hospice who so lovingly cared for Ada.
