Adrian “Jake” Clare Kroh

Adrian “Jake” Clair Kroh, age 80, of Mechanicsburg passed away at Penn State Milton Hershey Medical Center on Saturday, March 21, 2020.  Jake was born on Saturday, July 15, 1939, in Summerdale, PA to the late Martha Kroh.  Jake was the widower of Ella Marie (Crawford) Kroh, who died on September 24, 1988.  In addition to his parents and partner, Jake is preceded in death by his dear canines, Raleigh and Dog.

Jake’s survivors include his four stepchildren: Suzanne Marie Blankenship of Mechanicsburg, Karl Martz and wife Marcy Lou of Harrisburg, Kenneth “Kenny” Martz and wife Pam of Mechanicsburg, Jeffrey Martz and wife Shannon of Spring Grove; his eleven grandchildren; his 16 great-grandchildren; his two great-great-grandchildren; his five siblings: Gayle Benner, Marcy Ayars, Juanieta Carpenter, Darrell “Pete” Kroh, Louis Kroh; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved canine Poochie.

Jake graduated from East Pennsboro High School as part of the class of 1957.  He served in the Pennsylvania National Guard’s 28th Infantry Division and worked for Evanoff & Son Roofing as a union sheet metal worker.  He was a member of the Good News Free Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg.   Jake’s family remembers him as a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies and Penn State football.

Jake’s immediate services will be private with public services to be announced when scheduled.  Private burial in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisburg will be held at the family’s convenience.
