Calvin “Neill” Martin, age 80, of Summerdale, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 22, 2020.  Neill was born on Wednesday, December 13, 1939, in McConnellsburg to the late Frank J. Martin and Orpha K. (Steach) Martin.  Neill was the widower of Caroline Mae (Morris) Martin whom he married in August of 1978, and who died on April 11, 2019.

Neill’s survivors include his two step-daughters: Debra Schorr of Summerdale; Sharon Harro and husband, Billy, of Enola; his three step-grandchildren:  Dane; Dylan; Lindsay and husband, Mike; his five step-great-grandchildren: Lexi Mae, Remy, Michael “MJ”, Logan, and Maddix; Remy’s mother, Angie; his brother: Warren Martin of Harrisburg; and his two nephews: Michael and Gregory Martin.

Neill graduated from John Harris High School.  He served in the United States Marine Corps.  Neill retired from Navy Depot in Mechanicsburg, after many years of service working as an electronic technician.  Neill and Caroline were members of Baughman United Methodist Church in New Cumberland.  He was a member of the Mechanicsburg Club; Turkey Buzzards; American Legion; Enola Sportsman’s Club, Capital City Polka Dancers, Marysville Moose Lodge #107, Welsh Society, Freemasons Perseverance Lodge #21 in Harrisburg, Tall Cedars of Lebanon and the Harrisburg Consistory.  Neill loved his family and cherished the time that he spent with them.

Neills’s family will be celebrating his life privately. Interment in Paxtang Cemetery in Harrisburg will be at the family’s convenience.  Cremation was private.
