Constance “Connie” Peirsol (Montgomery) Cook

Constance “Connie” Peirsol (Montgomery) Cook, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on September 11, 2022.  She was 94 years old.  She moved to Mechanicsburg seven years ago after spending more than 50 years in Wilmington, DE.  Connie was born on June 14, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA, and attended Germantown Friends School in Germantown, PA.  She also attended Southern Seminary and Junior College, now known as Southern Virginia University, in Buena Vista, VA.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Barba Quilty, and her husband, Chris, of Mechanicsburg; son, Geoffrey Barba, and his wife Linda, of Atlanta, GA; a step-daughter, Martha Cook Dennison, of Atlanta, GA; a step-son, John Richard Cook Jr., and his wife Phyllis, of Syracuse, NY; her sister, Elizabeth Montgomery Thomas, of Blue Bell, PA; and seven grandchildren.

She did not want to have any services for her and will be inurned, with her late husband, J. Richard (Dick) Cook, who passed away in 1997, in Gracelawn Cemetery, New Castle, DE.

Connie’s family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN, in her memory.
