Franklin “Frank” Eugene Shipe

Franklin “Frank” Eugene Shipe, age 72, of Harrisburg, and formerly of Carlisle and Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021.  Frank was born on Thursday, September 16, 1948, in Mechanicsburg to the late Clarence Franklin Shipe and Miriam Virginia (Roush) Shipe.  In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his brother, Earl Shipe; and his son-in-law, Stephen Davis.

Frank’s survivors include his daughter, Ashlee Shipe of Harrisburg; his three grandchildren: Ava of Harrisburg, Jorden of CO, Kamdyn of Harrisburg; his three brothers: Clarence Shipe of Boiling Springs, John “Bill” Shipe and wife, Chong, of GA, Carl Shipe and companion, Norma, of Carlisle; his three sisters: Virginia “Ginny” Shipe of CA, Wanda Green of Harrisburg, Miriam Cordova of Carlisle; his two close friends: Shelly Brandt and Sue Kaplan; and several nieces and nephews.

Frank proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

Frank’s family will be remembering his life privately.  Interment with full military honors in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville will be at the family’s convenience.  Cremation was private.
