Helen M. (Termin) Yinger, 83, of Mechanicsburg died at Church of God Home , Carlisle on Saturday, May 12, 2012. She was born in Harrisburg on Monday, May 21, 1928, daughter of the late Harry R. Termin and Anna E. (Carnathan) Termin. Helen was the widow of Wayne L.Yinger to whom she was married for 61 years.

Helen graduated from William Penn High School as part of the class of 1946. She retired from Book of the Month in Mechanicsburg. Helen was a member of First Church of God in Mechanicsburg. She loved her family and especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Helen was a very Christian woman with a big bright smile and beautiful blue eyes. She enjoyed the flowers her husband would plant for her in their yard. Helen also enjoyed opening presents and often showed extreme excitement even before the gift was opened, which added more joy and laughter to every family holiday.

Helen’s survivors include her children: Diane Thomas and her husband Charles of Mechanicsburg; Brenda Russell and her husband Steve of Woodbridge, Va; David Yinger and his wife Melissa of Chambersburg; eight grandchildren: Daniel, Jason, Bradley, Ryan, Corey, Jamie, Spencer, Shawn; two great-grandchildren: Ashton and Peyton; three sisters: Betty Jean Parker of Pa; Schree Wilson of Ala; Deloris Hicks of Ala; and numerous nieces and nephews. Among those preceding Helen in death are her husband Wayne L Yinger Sr. and a son Wayne L. Yinger Jr.

All are welcome to join Helen’s family at her viewing on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, from 10:00 until time of service at 11:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, 17055, with Rev. Dr. Charles Hostetter officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
