Jacqlyn Marie (Smith) Triscari, PhD, age 64, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Charles Town, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Friday, February 21, 2020.  Jacqlyn was born on Saturday, February 4, 1956 in Somers Point, New Jersey, daughter of Mildred “Babe” (Hoenes) Smith and the late John “Frank” Francis Smith, Jr.  In addition to her father, Jacqlyn is preceded in death by her infant son, Brent Turner.

Jacqlyn’s survivors include her devoted husband of 19 years, Sebastian Gerard Triscari; her three daughters: Angela Randolph and her husband, Ryan, of Mechanicsburg, Britney Turner of Mechanicsburg, Krystal Martel and her husband, Joel, of Orlando, FL, her son, Basil Triscari and his wife, Elizabeth, of Mechanicsburg; her six grandchildren: Dalton, Maxwell, Sebastian, Kenna, Delaney, and Walter; her two sisters: Terri Hart of Baltimore, MD, and Reneé Herbaugh of Augusta, West Virginia; her former husband and friend, Rick Turner of York; and several nieces and nephews.

Jacqlyn graduated from Jefferson High School in Charles Town, West Virginia, as part of the class of 1974.  After earning her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University, Jacqlyn went on to Penn State University for both her Master and Doctorate degrees in Adult Education.  Jacqlyn had a special passion for mentoring teenagers and young adults.  She retired in 2008 as the Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development in the Bon-Ton Corporate Headquarters in York, PA, after more than 25 years of service.  Jacqlyn’s own professional development led her to a partnership in Triscari Video Web Marketing in Camp Hill, PA, where she served as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President from 2005 until present.

Jacqlyn worked so she could travel the world; fulfilling her love of meeting new people and learning.  Her favorite destination was Mexico, with Egypt and China rounding out the top three.  Jacqlyn’s dearest memories included her travels and her family; both were her riches in life.  Jacqlyn loved Christmas and decorating for Christmas took her two solid weeks.  She enjoyed entertaining at her home, and Jacqlyn’s artistic side included crafting, painting, selling her wares at craft shows, and collecting Longaberger Baskets and Lenox China.  With her love for reading and learning, Jacqlyn was a well-rounded person with an unmistakable laugh who will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
