James “Jim” Alton Geedy

James “Jim” Alton Geedy, age 77, of Enola, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.  Jim was born on Wednesday, March 13, 1946, in Dry Run to the late Glenn Adam Geedy and Mae Mildred (Smith) Geedy.  Jim was the widower of Donna Marie (Wall) Geedy, whom he married on April 30, 1966, and who died on January 25, 2021.  In addition to his parents and wife, Jim is preceded in death by his nine brothers and two sisters.

Jim’s survivors include his two children: James “Jim” Allen Geedy and his wife, Dewi, of Dillsburg; Tina Marie Yadsko and her husband, John, of Enola; his three grandchildren: Nathan Martin, Collin Martin, Janessa Suguitan; his two great-granddaughters: Ahnalaya and Zoey Martin; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim was a longtime member of Vibrant Church in Mechanicsburg, had unbridled faith in his Lord God and looked forward to being reunited with his beloved wife in Heaven.  He enjoyed tinkering outside and vegetable gardening.  Jim loved Bluegrass music and black licorice and ice cream was one of his favorite treats.  He was a loving dog owner and more than anything else, he loved his family and adored his great-granddaughters.  Jim will be deeply missed.

All are welcome to join Jim’s family at gathering of family and friends on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Gary Bellis officiating.  Cremation was private.
