Joann (Papp) Nailor, age 80, of Enola, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021.  Joann was born on Monday, August 25, 1941, in Steelton to the late Joseph Stephen Papp and Barbara H. (Farkas) Papp.  Joann was the widow of Bruce Kennedy Nailor, Jr., whom she married on September 27, 1976, and who died on November 24, 2017.

Joann’s survivors include her two sons: Richard “Rick” Allen Nailor and companion, Lila Adkins, of Enola, Joseph “Joe” Stephen Nailor and wife, Susan Gerhard, of Lewisberry; her six grandchildren: Shawn M. Nailor and wife, Emily, Taylor John Heisey and wife, Amanda, Latesha Ann Bair and husband, Ryan, Stephen Joseph Nailor, Zachary Henson and Shane Henson; her seven great-grandchildren: Quentin Bair, Olivia Bair, Keira Nailor, Peyton Nailor, Kaylynn Nailor, Ethan Nailor and Trenten Heisey; and her beloved canine companion, Doodles.

Joann graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School and from Harrisburg Area Community College with a degree in accounting.  She retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Revenue in Harrisburg, after many years of service working as an accountant.  Joann loved and cherished the many loyal canine companions she had over the years.  Some of her favorite activities include counted cross-stitch, seeing movies at the theater, and going out for dinner.  As a competitive bowler for several years, Joann played with many leagues and at state and national levels.  She also served as a bowling instructor and taught many children the sport.  She was a lifetime member of the Women’s International Bowling Congress (WIBC).  The Christmas season was Joann’s favorite and she loved everything about it.  Each year, Joann could hardly wait to decorate and display her collection of well over 400 Santa Claus.

All are welcome to join Joann’s family on Friday, September 17, 2021 for her gathering at 11:45 a.m. until time of service beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011; with Celebrant George A.
