Joy’s survivors include her three children: Audra Day and her husband, Robert, of Stewartstown; Mark Lucas and his wife, Nora, of Lemoyne; Foster Lucas, Jr. of Mechanicsburg; her seven grandchildren; her four great-grandchildren; her brother, William Duncan and his wife, Diane, of Mechanicsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Joy attended Mechanicsburg High School.  As an adult, she went to school for Technology and later became a tractor trailer driver; she got to travel the country and loved it.  For over 70 years, Joy was a member of First Church of God in Mechanicsburg and she was also on the ABC West Bowling League for many years.  Joy was a fantastic cook and was known to be fiercely independent, brave, fearless and even a little feisty.  She really enjoyed seeing “Riverdance” and said it was the best day of her life.  Joy loved her family more than anything and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
