Joyce Sandra (Carter) Punchur

Joyce S. Punchur, age 82, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020.  She was born to the late James and Ruth Carter.  She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruth Carter, and her brother James Carter.

Joyce’s survivors include her husband of 59 years, James “Jim” Punchur; her four children: Barbara L. Shaeffer of Mechanicsburg, Susan C. Punchur of Perry Hall, MD, John J. Punchur of New Cumberland, Diana L. Leiphart of Amherst, NY; her two grandchildren: Courtney A. Punchur and Carter T. Hagewiesche; and several nieces and nephews.

Joyce had a love for gardening in her yard, she found such joy in all her gardens and would cut her flowers and greenery and methodically arrange them in one of her many vases and scatter them throughout the house for all to enjoy.  She would enjoy bird watching and could name any bird that flew up to any one of the many handmade bird houses and feeders made by her husband.  She especially enjoyed visits from her children and grandchildren who made her very happy.

All are welcome to join Joyce’s family at her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 24, 2020, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Church of the Good Shepherd, 3435 East Trindle Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.  Cremation was private.
