A Life of Faithful Service -

Laura Ann (Edsell) Robinson, age 69, of Mechanicsburg, died early in the morning on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, after a brief battle with cancer.  Laura was born on Sunday, March 30, 1952, in Towanda, PA to the late Paul Wilson Edsell and Milrea Irma (Chubbuck) Edsell.

Laura’s survivors include her husband of 40 years, John “JR” Walter Robinson; her two children: Nathan “Nate” Robinson and wife, Kylene, and their children of Woodstock, VA, Nicole Laing and husband, James, and their children of Glenshaw, PA; her seven brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Laura’s life was filled with faith, love, learning, and laughter.  The greatest joys in her life were spending time with family and friends, working as a public school speech therapist, leading women’s Bible studies, and sharing humorous stories.  Those who knew Laura always felt loved and cared for by her.  Laura was a member of both the Evangelical Covenant Church of Port Allegany and Camp Hill Presbyterian Church.   She shared her gifts in faith by teaching Sunday school, leading Bible studies in her home, and singing in church choirs.  Beyond the love and compassion she showed, Laura will always be remembered for her life of faithful service and life-giving laughter.
