Selfless & Giving -

Linda Kay (Sanders) Martin, age 74, of Camp Hill, peacefully went home to our Lord with her loving family by her side on Thursday, October 4, 2018.  Linda was born on Wednesday, September 27, 1944 in Mechanicsburg, PA to the late Daniel Levi Sanders and Josephine Margaret (Eshenbaugh) Sanders.  In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her brother, Donald Levi Sanders, and her beloved canine Miss Molly.

Linda’s survivors include her husband of over 49 years, Parke Theodore Martin, Jr.; her daughter, Lisa Marie (Martin) Rabert and her fiancé, Christopher Sabol; her two grandchildren: Curtis Michael Rabert and Michaela Marie Rabert; her sister, Connie Glosser; her nieces and nephews; and her beloved canine companion, Sandy Mae.

Linda graduated from Cedar Cliff High School as part of the class of 1962.  Linda was employed by the Rite Aid Corporation in their Retail Facilities Department in Shiremanstown, PA for the past 18 years.  Prior to that and for 32 years, Linda worked for the Woolworth Corporation in their Management Information Center also in Shiremanstown.  Linda was a member of Turning Point Church of Mechanicsburg, prior to that she was a 15 year member of Bowmansdale Church of God, and prior to that she was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg.

Linda was a selfless person who was always doing for others.  She gave and gave and gave.  Linda loved giraffes and enjoyed counted cross stitch, yard sales, reading, camping, and working in her flower beds and yard.  She took such pride in her home.  Above all she cherished the time she spent with her family.  She was deeply loved and will be forever remembered.

All are welcome to join Linda’s family at her viewing on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Pastor George A. Spangler officiating.  Private cremation will follow the service.  Linda’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Buhrig’s Gathering Place (next to Myers - Buhrig) immediately following the service.

The family sends their most heartfelt thanks to all of Linda’s coworkers at the retail facilities department at Rite Aid for their continued love and support throughout Linda’s illness.
