Martha Ann (Thomas) Rudisill

Martha Ann Rudisill (nee Thomas), a resident of Dillsburg, PA, passed into eternal rest on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at age 73.  Born in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Betty Thomas.  She is survived by her two brothers: Glenn Thomas and his wife Shelley and Fred Thomas and his wife Dorothy; and her three children: Kristen Rudisill Vela and her husband Vagish of Bowling Green, OH; Kevin Rudisill, Sr. of Harrisburg, PA; and Lynne Sadler and her husband Matthew of Dillsburg, PA.  She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Kevin Jr., Katelyn, Kyle, Elijah, Teeghan, Kayla, Sivaji, Kolton, and Surya and by her constant companion, her beloved dog Hatchi.

Martha was a graduate of Taylor-Moosic High School and earned her BA in Education from Lock Haven University and two graduate degrees from Penn State, a Masters of Public Administration and a Master of Education in early childhood education.  She worked in a variety of fields during her life, including as a teacher, a researcher for the Pennsylvania State Legislature, a real estate agent and broker, a notary, and an automotive salesperson.

Martha was a devoted mother who loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She was a former majorette and an accomplished craftsperson who loved playing bingo as well as all kinds of board and card games, watching game shows and movies, and relaxing on the beach.

All are welcome to join Martha’s family at her visitation on Saturday, April 3, 2021, from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m., all at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 626 Williams Grove Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.  Interment will follow the service at the church.  Cremation was private.  Details on live streaming will be posted once it becomes available.
