Mary Beth Bowman
Always Smiling -
Mary Beth Bowman, age 60, of Braselton, Georgia, and formerly of Mechanicsburg, went home to be with the Lord at North East Georgia Medical Center on Sunday, November 1, 2020. Mary Beth was born on Wednesday, September 14, 1960, in Harrisburg to the late Richard Miller Bowman and Doris Lorraine (Schuchman) Bowman. In addition to her parents, Mary Beth is preceded in death by her two siblings: Gerald Steven Bowman and Brenda Jean Bowman.
Mary Beth’s survivors include her two siblings: Larry Thomas Bowman and wife, Mary Elizabeth, of Gainesville, Georgia, Joanne Marie Bowman of Braselton, Georgia; and her several nieces and nephews.
Mary Beth was a member of Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church in Flowery Branch, Georgia, where she and her sister Joanne sang in the church choir. She was very musical, loved to sing and listen to music. Her favorites were country and the sacred music of the church. She and her sister, Joanne were very close and they loved to watch classic movies and Penn State football games together. Mary Beth was active in a day program called Creative Enterprises, where she took classes and participated in a work program. Her family and friends remember fondly her happy-go-lucky attitude. Joanne will miss Mary Beth for her role as a confidant and advocate; in addition to her love and support as her sister.
