Michael “Mick” Byndas, age 62, of New Kingstown, and formerly of Mountain Top, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 14, 2022.  Mick was born on Sunday, May 15, 1960, in Wilkes Barre to Mary Louise (Yanora) Byndas and the late Michael John Byndas.  In addition to his father, Mick is preceded in death by his sister, Sheila (Byndas) Edmonds

Mick’s survivors include his wife of 38 years, Julia “Julie” Ann (Myers) Byndas; his daughter, Christina “Chrissy” Alexandra Tewell and her husband, Thomas, of Shermans Dale; his son, Michael “Mick” Anthony Byndas and his wife, Mary, of Shermans Dale; his five grandchildren: Joshua Michael Doyle, Brooke Lillian Tewell, Michael Anthony Byndas, Jr., Matthew Taylor Byndas, Marshall Lee Byndas; his brother, Sean Byndas and his wife, Cynthia, of Clearwater, FL; his sister, Gail Geyer of Camp Hill; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved canine companion, Nova.

Mick was the owner and operator of 1st Class Carpet and Furniture Cleaning for more than 20 years.  He was a very artistic, hands on person and enjoyed painting, drawing, wood carving, pyrography and arts and crafts.  He loved music and he and his siblings had their own production company, Byndas Productions, for a period of time.  Mick liked going to the beach, most especially Ocean City, MD, and camping at Raystown Lake.  He loved sports of all kind and enjoyed fishing, boating, shooting targets at the range and shooting pool; he had his very own pool table and at one time even tried his hand at boxing.  A jack of all trades, Mick was a carpenter, a mechanic and loved to tinker with the go-kart that he bought for his grandchildren.  He was a good story teller and had a great sense of humor.  He loved to tell jokes and could always make his family laugh.  Mick was active and very social, both in person and on social media. More than anything else, Mick loved his family.  He relished spending time with his grandchildren and attending family cookouts.  Mick will be deeply missed.
