Michael “Mike” Eugene Kemper

“Go All In or Don’t Do It” -

Michael “Mike” Eugene Kemper, age 68, of Dillsburg, and formerly of Carlisle, died on Friday, January 7, 2022.  Mike was born on Saturday, July 18, 1953, in Carlisle to the late Merle Eugene Kemper and Betty Jane (Mack) Ritter.  Mike was the widower of Mary Ann Kemper.

Mike’s survivors include his life partner, Tina Ann Walters; his three children: Callie Ann Kitzmiller and husband, Shawn, of Mechanicsburg; Michael E. Kemper, Jr. of Dillsburg; and Aaron Walters of Colorado; his five grandchildren: Mackenzie Kitzmiller, Waylon Kitzmiller, Wyatt Kitzmiller, Michael Kemper, III and Vivien Kemper; his sister, Deborah Bobb and husband, Raymond Bobb, III of Carlisle; his beloved Great Dane, Titan; and his many “brothers and sisters”.

Mike graduated from Carlisle High School as part of the class of 1971 and was a life-long student of motorcycle mechanicals.  He worked for the Harley Davidson Motor Company in York from 1988 until 2006.  Mike was also the owner/operator of P&M Powertrain, Ltd. and worked for Hayseed Engineering (HSE), both in Dillsburg.  He was a member of the VFW South Mountain Post 6771, American Legion Post 26, and Crotch Cannibals Social Club.  Mike was a master mechanic, former competitive power lifter, and an avid motorcycle rider.  He rode all over the world to some amazing places.

A true family man, Mike did everything that he possibly could for the people that he loved.  In his own words, “Go all in or don’t do it”.  He was the protector of his family and prided himself in creating a safe and loving home.  Mike was both compassionate and kind, and could always see things clearly; boiling them down to their essentials.
