A Talented Singer -

Michael “Mitch” Thomas Larkin, age 72, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Hershey, passed away at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital on Thursday, October 28, 2021.  Mitch was born on Friday, April 15, 1949, in Hershey to the late Thomas Michael Larkin and Mary Joan (Mastromatteo) Larkin.

Mitch’s survivors include his wife of 46 years, Cynthia “Cindy” Kay (Dobbs) Larkin; his son: Thomas “TJ” James Larkin and wife, Kathleen “Katie” Larkin, of Mechanicsburg; his three grandchildren: Olivia Jones, Emma Sweigart and Abigail “Abby” Sweigart; his two sisters: Patricia “Patty” Otstott and husband, Michael, of Newport, Mary Larkin of Mechanicsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Mitch graduated from Hershey High School as part of the class of 1967 and from Harrisburg Area Community College with a degree in Business Administration.  He retired in 2004, after many years as a food broker for M&M/Mars, Kingsford and Marcel Paper.  Mitch was a member of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg.  He was a member of the Lower Allen VFW Post 7530, the Mechanicsburg Club both in Mechanicsburg and the American Legion Post 26 in Dillsburg. Mitch loved to sing and a member of several bands over the years, including “The Crossfires”, “Special Friends” and “Reminisce Band”.  Mitch was a fun-loving person and was always joking around.  Mitch loved to coach baseball at the little league and teener levels.  He also was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Orioles.  Mitch gave much to his community, his family and friends; while asking for very little in return.  He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
