Loving Mother, Grandmother, & Great-Grandmother -

Nancy Lou (Fink) Donovan, age 84, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020.  Nancy was born on Monday, November 25, 1935, in Harrisburg to the late Francis Fink and Evelyn (Mintzer) Fink.  Nancy was the widow of Bruce Colson Donovan, whom she married on August 31, 1963, and who died on May 9, 2009.  In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy is preceded in death by six siblings: Mary Williams, David Fink, Joanne Bosak, John Fink, Dorothy Smee, and Doris Jean Puhr.

Nancy’s survivors include her two children: W. Patrick “Pat” Donovan and wife Karla of Mechanicsburg, Michele Donovan of Mechanicsburg; her two grandchildren: Krystal Firster and husband Kyle and their children: Blake and Peyton, Kory Lightner and wife Kristen and their children: Jackson and Adelyn; and her many nieces and nephews.

Nancy graduated from Harrisburg Catholic High School as part of the class of 1954.  She retired from the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) in Mechanicsburg, after nearly 30 years of service working as a clerk.  Nancy also retired from the Giant Food Store on Simpson Ferry Road after 20 years of running the salad bar.  She was a lifelong member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg since 1963.  Nancy was a member of TOPS Club, Inc. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) for about 20 years, where she served as treasurer.  She loved the Mechanicsburg sandlot baseball team and would attend every home game.  Following retirement, Nancy enjoyed going to the Mechanicsburg Area Community Pool and taking bus trips.

Nancy’s family will be remembering her life privately.  Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Mechanicsburg will be at the family’s convenience.  Cremation was private.
