Ronald “Rerun” Roberts

Ronald “Rerun” Roberts, age 81, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022.  Rerun was born on Thursday, December 19, 1940, in Dauphin to the late Harold Deardorf Roberts and Helen Mae (Longenecker) Roberts.  In addition to his parents, Rerun is preceded in death by his brother.

Rerun’s survivors include his daughter, Cindy Bedorf and her husband, James “Jim”, of Harrisburg; his son, Tony Roberts and his wife, Melissa, of Mechanicsburg; and his three grandchildren: Brenden Bedorf, Sophia Bedorf, and Aidan Roberts.

Rerun was a member of numerous social clubs.  He had dozens of club cards and he used them well.  Rerun loved dancing, socializing, bingo, visiting the beach, and driving in car parades.  He greatly enjoyed his cars, especially his 1984 El Camino SS, Choo Choo Custom, and liked to attend and exhibit his cars at car shows.  Rerun was a collector of baseball cards, football cards, and beer chips.  He was also an avid coin collector; he loved giving his grandchildren coin sets.  Rerun will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Friends and family are invited to Rerun’s open house with desserts at Buhrig’s Gathering Place, 25 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 766-3421 (next to Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory), on Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Over 100 parking spaces are available; just look for the “Buhrig” parking signs in all of the parking lots.
