Shirley Ann (Palm) Rodrock

Wonderful Mother & Wife -

Shirley Ann (Palm) Rodrock, 73, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 in the Holy Spirit Hospital.  Shirley was born in the Mechanicsburg Hospital on December 30, 1947 and grew up in West Fairview and Enola.  She was the daughter of Betty I. (Baker) Palm and William M. Palm Sr.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ed Rodrock, a daughter, Ann Rodrock, a son, David Rodrock, fiance of April Sponseller and April's daughter, Aida Sponseller, a grandson, Nicholas Ellis and a brother, William M. Palm Jr., husband of Wanda (Nicholson) Palm.  Shirley graduated from East Pennsboro Area High School in the class of 1965.  She was retired from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.

Shirley enjoyed going to her dad's hunting camp with Ann and Dave to ride three-wheelers in the summer time and going to Wildwood, Ocean City and Myrtle Beach with the family.  She liked to snowmobile and loved to roller skate at the Rainbow rink with her family and friends.  She did a lot of hard work in the yard, garden and flower beds.  Shirley was a great homemaker who cooked, baked, stenciled, made crafts and loved to prepare large holiday meals for everyone and decorate at Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Shirley was Ann's best friend and loved being with Ann's dogs, Cooper and Finn. Shirley touched many lives and had a long list of loved ones.  Many people have reached out and had such kind words about Shirley, which she would have loved.  She was a wonderful mother and wife who is greatly missed.

In accordance with Shirley’s wishes, no funeral services were held.  Cremation was private.
