Lived a Fulfilling and Faithful Life -

Shirley Marie (Preston) Trieschman, age 90, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019, in Carlisle, PA.  Shirley was born on Tuesday, April 2, 1929 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Gordon Preston, Sr. and Lottie (Keel) Preston.  In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her son, Edward “Chip” Trieschman; her daughter, Debra “Debbie” Lynn (Trieshman) Siney; and her brother, Gordon Preston, Jr.

Shirley’s survivors include her five grandchildren; and her several great-grandchildren.

Shirley enjoyed learning and took a variety of college courses throughout her life.  She retired as a nursing home administrator, after more than 30 years of service.  Shirley was very proud to have traveled all around the county as a consultant and opening up a variety of new facilities in the Cincinnati area.  Her second career saw her serve as a business tax return processor for the IRS in the Cincinnati, OH office.  Shirley lived a fulfilling and faithful life that contained many blessings she always thanked God for.  The greatest of these blessings was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She loved them dearly and their presence in her world brought out a childlike spirit in her.  Shirley liked playing video games, collecting stuffed animals, and creating colored pencil drawings of which she filled many volumes of books.

All are welcome to join Shirley’s family at her viewing on Monday, May 13, 2019, from 10:00 until time of service at 10:40 a.m. at Hodapp Funeral Home, 7401 Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH 45216; with Celebrant Bob Buhrig officiating.  Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH.
