A Friend to Everyone -

Suzette L. Barrick, age 72, of Mechanicsburg, passed away with her family and very close friends by her side on Friday, January 15, 2021, after a 24 year long battle with cancer.  Suzette was born on Friday, October 15, 1948, in Harrisburg to John and Betty Jane (Barnes) Maskarine.  In addition to her father, Suzette is preceded in death by her brother, John Maskarine.

Suzette’s survivors include her loving husband of 33 years, Dennis A. Barrick; her daughter, Shawn and significant other Bob of Boiling Springs; her granddaughter, Addisyn; her mother, Betty; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Suzette graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville, FL as part of the class of 1966.  She worked for PA Green Thumb for nearly 20 years as the assistant state director.  Suzette and her husband, Dennis, were members of the Susquehanna Ski Club where the two enjoyed going on group trips.  When Suzette was able to, she loved to go fishing but always found great happiness at the ocean.  She was the life of the party and really enjoyed being with her friends.  They would get together to do arts and crafts and meet for breakfast or lunch everyday if Suzette could.  Dennis and Suzette would go with their friends for group dinners every other month.  This was something she always looked forward to and never missed one, no matter how she was feeling.  Suzette always enjoyed listening to her fountains in the backyard.  Remember Suzette by embracing every single day with a smile.

A celebration of Suzette’s life will be scheduled for a later date when it is safe for family and friends to gather.
